There were skill games on the course throughout the day. Pat Ubaudi’s drive on #7 was closest to the pin. Brian Staley’s putt on #1 was the longest putt of the day. Charmain Enstrom’s drive on #8 was closest to the line. A silent auction with numerous items was held throughout the day with the winning bids being announced at 6 p.m.
A 5K Fun Run was held Saturday evening with 26 runners participating. Michelle Honselman took winning honors with a time of 30:42, Lindsey McDonald came in second with a time of 31:31.
The fundraiser was a huge success. It wouldn’t have been possible without the many individuals who gave of their time to help work and plan the event or play in the tournament and fun run. Many sponsors donated items and money to help fund the events. A special “thank you” goes to the Casey Country Club for their help and use of the golf course. A big thank you goes out for all the hard work and the many hours donated by the SPIFF Fund Raiser Committee. Thanks to all.
Because of each and every one of you, SPIFF is blessed to give every year to those in need. The money raised will be used to help children and their families who are suffering through major illnesses and are in need of financial help.
